This Privacy Policy explains how Cyclova ("the app", "we", "our") handles your information. We built Cyclova with a simple principle: your health data belongs to you and stays on your device.
1. Data We Collect and Store
Cyclova stores the following data entirely on your device using local storage (Hive). None of this is transmitted to our servers or any third party:
- Menstrual cycle dates (period start and end dates)
- Symptom logs: mood, flow intensity, pain level, energy, cervical mucus, headache, bloating, breast tenderness, and notes
- Basal Body Temperature (BBT) readings
- App settings and preferences (cycle length, notification preferences, theme)
This data never leaves your device. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no cloud sync. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.
2. Advertising (AdMob)
The free version of Cyclova displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the following to serve relevant ads:
- Advertising Identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) — only if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt on iOS
- Approximate location (country/region level)
- Device and network information for ad serving
On iOS, a system dialog will ask for permission before any identifier is used for personalized advertising. You can deny this permission and ads will still be shown (non-personalized).

3. Premium Subscription & In-App Purchases
Cyclova offers a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase records are managed by the respective platform's billing system.

4. Notifications
If you enable reminders, Cyclova schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated entirely on-device and do not involve any external server or push notification service.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transmit your health or personal data to any third party. The only third-party SDK with network access is Google AdMob (see Section 2). Your cycle data, symptoms, and temperature logs are never included in any data shared with advertisers or analytics providers.
6. Data Export & Deletion
You have full control over your data at all times:
- Export: Premium users can export all cycle and symptom data as a CSV file via Settings → Export Data.
- Delete: You can permanently delete all data at any time via Settings → Clear all cycle data. This action is irreversible.
- Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
7. Children's Privacy
Cyclova includes a Teen Mode that simplifies the interface for younger users and adjusts educational content accordingly. The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using this app, please contact us so we can assist with data removal.
8. Security
All data is stored in an encrypted Hive database on your device. The optional App Lock feature (PIN or biometrics) adds an additional layer of protection. No data is transmitted over the network, which eliminates the risk of server-side data breaches affecting your health information.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continued use of Cyclova after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
